John David Washington is a proud graduate of Morehouse College, Washington made his mark in collegiate football, setting records as a running back and leading the conference in rushing his senior year, with a, then, school record of 1,198 yards. His impressive performance on the field included a 5.6-yard average, nine touchdown. Washington’s dedication to athletics extended into his professional career when he signed with the St. Louis Rams, as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He later joined the UFL, playing four seasons for the Sacramento Mountain Lions. Following his football career, Washington embraced his roots in entertainment, drawing inspiration from his parents, Denzel and Pauletta Washington. His breakthrough came in 2018 with the lead role of Ron Stallworth in Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman.  Washington made a successful Broadway debut, in 2022, with August Wilson’s The Piano Lesson, embodying the legacy of a classic work in theater. John David Washington’s journey from record-breaking collegiate athlete at Morehouse College, to acclaimed actor, stands as a testament to his hard work, resilience, and versatility.
