ATLANTA, Ga. — Morehouse College basketball will celebrate its championship past while introducing the next generation of Maroon Tigers during the Suits & Sneakers Gala on Saturday, September 12, at 7 p.m. inside Forbes Arena.

Basketball Excellence

The signature evening will bring together the Morehouse basketball family for a night of recognition and anticipation. The evening will be highlighted by the presentation of championship rings to the 2025-26 Morehouse basketball team. The Maroon Tigers won the SIAC East Division, captured the SIAC Tournament championship, earned a berth in the NCAA Division II South Regional to complete one of the most memorable seasons in program history.

The celebration will give supporters an opportunity to recognize the student-athletes, coaches and staff members who helped return Morehouse basketball to the conference championship stage. The title was the program's first SIAC Tournament championship since 2003.
The evening will also offer a first look at the future of the program as the members of the 2026-27 Morehouse basketball team are formally introduced to alumni, supporters and fans.

Keynote Speaker: Kevin Keatts

Headlining the event as keynote speaker will be Kevin Keatts, the former North Carolina State University men's basketball head coach. Keatts spent eight seasons at the helm of the Wolfpack, guiding the program to the 2024 ACC Championship and an improbable run to the Final Four as an 11-seed. He previously built a nationally recognized mid-major program at UNC Wilmington before taking over at NC State in 2017. Keatts brings a wealth of leadership and championship experience to an evening centered on excellence, perseverance and the continued growth of Morehouse basketball.

The Suits & Sneakers Gala promises an elegant, high-energy atmosphere befitting its name, bringing together Morehouse's championship pedigree, the promise of a new season, and one of college basketball's most respected coaching voices under one roof at Forbes Arena.
