MOREHOUSE’S HILL, DIXON EARN NATIONAL HBCU ALL-STARS HONORS

Hill earns Co-Player of the Year while Dixon earns Co-Coach of the Year Honors

ATLANTA, GA |  Morehouse College senior JerMontae Hill has been selected as the HBCU All-Stars Cleo Hill Division II Co-National Player of the Year, while first-year head coach Larry Dixon has been named the HBCU All-Stars Clarence "Big House" Gaines Division II Co-National Coach of the Year, adding two more major national honors to a historic 2025-26 season for the Maroon Tigers.

Hill was also selected to compete for Team Bob Dandridge, while Dixon will serve as a co-coach for Team Bob Dandridge during the 2026 HBCU All-Star Game Experience. Team Bob Dandridge will square off against Team Sam Jones in the annual showcase, which is scheduled for Sunday, April 5 at 2 p.m. EST at Corteva Coliseum at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis.

Morehouse will be prominently represented in the event, as Hill and Dixon were both chosen for Team Bob Dandridge, which is made up of players and coaches from the MEAC, SIAC and HBCU independent programs. Hill is also one of three SIAC student-athletes selected to participate in this year's HBCU All-Star Game.

Hill's selection as the Cleo Hill Division II Co-National Player of the Year is another major milestone in a standout season in maroon and white. Hill was selected to the SIAC All-Conference 3rd Team previously this season. One of the premier players in the SIAC and in Division II HBCU basketball, Hill capped his senior campaign by earning national recognition and a spot on one of the event's featured teams.

Dixon's honor as the Clarence "Big House" Gaines Division II Co-National Coach of the Year further reflects the immediate success he delivered in his first season leading the Maroon Tigers. His selection as a co-coach for Team Bob Dandridge adds another layer to a season in which Morehouse reestablished itself among the elite programs in Division II HBCU basketball. Dixon engineered one of the most impressive debut seasons in program history. Morehouse reached the 20-win mark in his first season, making him the third consecutive Maroon Tiger head coach to win 20 games in their debut season. Under Dixon's leadership, Morehouse captured its 7th SIAC East Division championship since the conference adopted divisional play in 2013 and 7th SIAC Tournament Championship all-time, marking the 6th time that the Maroon Tigers have won the regular-season and tournament titles in the same season.

The HBCU All-Star Game Experience is held annually during Final Four weekend and highlights many of the top HBCU senior basketball players in the country while honoring the legacy and impact of Black college basketball. Team Bob Dandridge, featuring Hill and coached in part by Dixon, will face Team Sam Jones, which is comprised of standouts from the SWAC, CIAA and HBCU independent ranks. Team Bob Dandridge will feature standouts from the MEAC, SIAC and independent HBCU programs.

Morehouse will carry strong momentum and national recognition into one of college basketball's premier HBCU postseason events. For up-to-date athletic information on the Maroon Tigers, follow them on social media or online at www.morehouseathletics.com or Maroon Tiger basketball on Instagram @morehousebasketball.

ABOUT HBCU ALL-STARS, LLC

HBCU All-Stars, LLC is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and was founded in 2019 with the mission to advocate, educate, expose, mentor, and invest in hardworking, talented, ambitious, and very deserving students, student-athletes and brilliant coaches at our distinguished Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs ).

ABOUT THE HBCU ALL-STAR GAME

The game has become one of the premier national platforms dedicated exclusively to elevating talent from Historically Black Colleges and Universities. For decades, HBCU programs have produced elite basketball players, yet many HBCU athletes have historically received limited national exposure compared to players from larger conferences.

The HBCU All-Star Game aims to change that narrative by creating a professional-level showcase where graduating seniors can demonstrate their skills to NBA, international, and professional league scouts. Beyond the competition on the court, the event celebrates the cultural and athletic legacy ofHBCUs while highlighting the continued impact these institutions have on the landscape of college basketball.
