ATLANTA, GA | The Morehouse Athletics Department has released a series of important schedule updates that affect the remaining 2024-25 Maroon Tiger basketball season.  These updates revolve around game days and dates, time of the game, or promotions surrounding the game(s).

EDWARD WATERS

After multiple schedule conflicts, the back-half of the Eastern Division game against Edward Waters will now be played on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 18.  The game will tip off at 7PM and be played inside Forbes Arena on the McAffee Court.  Fans are asked to wear MAROON to show their support for the Maroon Tigers.  This game had to be rescheduled because of the Maroon Tigers participation in the HBCU NBA Classic.  The game was originally scheduled for Monday, February 17, but Morehouse will be traveling home from the west coast on Monday.  You can purchase your tickets online here.

CLARK-ATLANTA

The Morehouse portion, of the annual home-and-home between Clark-Atlanta and Morehouse, will be played on SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 22, as scheduled.  Dubbed the "Big Cat Hardwood Classic," the tip has been moved to 6PM, due to multiple events occurring on the Morehouse campus on that Saturday.  Fans are asked to wear WHITE to show their support for the Maroon Tigers. With over 5000 supporters expected to be in attendance, fans are encouraged to purchase their ticket early.  NO CASH SALES WILL BE ALLOWED ON THIS DATE.  Fans can go online and purchase their ticket now by clicking HERE.

SIAC TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND

The play-in game to the SIAC Basketball Tournament, scheduled by the conference to be played on Saturday, March 1, will be played on SUNDAY, MARCH 2.  The move was necessary due to a previously scheduled event at Forbes Arena.  According to the format of the tournament in 2025, the SIAC East and West Division Champions will receive a first-round bye, and advance to the quarterfinal of the tournament, scheduled for March 5-8 in Forbes Arena.  Seeds 2-4, in each division, will host opening round games against seeds 5-7 on March 1 (seed 8 in the East will not qualify for the tournament).  Should Morehouse win the East, the game will not have to be played.  Should Morehouse finish in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th place, they will host the lower seed.  The game will have to be played, now, on Sunday.  The time will be determined on the opponent is known.  The regular season will end on February 26, at which point seeds will be known.

SIAC TOURNAMENT

The 2025 SIAC Basketball Tournament will be co-hosted by Morehouse College and Clark-Atlanta University.  All games will be played on the campus of Morehouse College at Forbes Arena.  Games will be played March 5-8.  The times on the games on March 5-7 will be at 12PM, 2:30PM, 6PM, and 8:30PM.  Women's games will be played in the early time slots, and Men's games will be played in the later time slots.  Championship Saturday contests will occur at 12PM and 3PM.  For more information on the SIAC Tournament, click here.  For more information on the events happening during Championship Week, click here.  For up-to-date athletic information on the Maroon Tigers, follow them on social media or online at www.morehouseathletics.com.
