ATLANTA, GA | Morehouse guard Cedric Taylor III has been named SIAC Player of the Week, for his play from February 3 through Februay 8. He had an after an exceptional stretch of performances, leading the Maroon Tigers with elite scoring, rebounding, and all-around play. Over the past three games, Taylor averaged 23.3 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists per game, shooting an impressive 62.2% from the field, and 76.0% from the free-throw line while also tallying 4 total steals.
- Vs. Savannah State (Feb. 4, 2025) – Taylor set the tone with 21 points on 6-10 shooting, including 8-9 from the free-throw line. He also contributed 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals, making a significant impact on both ends in the 65-59 win.
- Vs. Allen (Feb. 6, 2025) – Taylor delivered his best performance of the season, exploding for 29 points on 10-13 shooting, including 2-4 from three and 7-8 from the line. He dominated the glass with 10 rebounds, notching a double-double, while also tallying 3 assists and a steal in a commanding Morehouse victory.
- Vs. Albany State (Feb. 8, 2025) – Playing an incredible 44 minutes, Taylor posted 20 points on 7-14 shooting, adding 5 rebounds and an assist, demonstrating his endurance and consistency in a tough matchup.
