Atlanta, GA | On Sunday, January 12th, Morehouse basketball will host Benedict College at Frank L. Forbes Arena. The game will tip off at 2 p.m.
Morehouse is 7-7 this season and 5-2 when facing SIAC opponents. The Maroon Tigers are currently tied for second place in the SIAC East Division. Their last game was a 64-57 loss against Savannah State, where the opposition ended up shooting 23 free throws. Players to watch for Morehouse include sophomore guard Cedric Taylor III (14.4 PPG, 6.1 RPG) and junior guard JerMontae Hill (12.4 PPG, 5.6 RPG).
Benedict is 3-10 this season and 3-4 in conference play. The Tigers currently sit in sixth place in the SIAC East Division. They have had to play a large portion of the season without junior guard Grant Parker (12.3 PPG, 5.3 RPG), who has been absent since early December. Benedict's last game was an 82-63 loss to Kentucky State, in which they only managed to make 31.% of their field goal attempts. Players to watch for Benedict include senior guards Tariq Shepherd (11.0 PPG) and Cadarius Baggett (9.5 PPG, 4.8 RPG).
