Opening Tip: The Maroon Tigers look to make a run to the SIAC Championship after a blowout 72-54 win against Paine College. With this win, the Maroon Tigers improve to 16-12 on the season. With a win against Albany State University on Friday, March 6 in the SIAC Tournament, the Maroon Tigers can advance to the SIAC Championship for the first time since 2013.

Scouting MHC: The Maroon Tigers look to win their fourth game in a row after a 72-54 win against Paine College that saw senior guard Michael Olmert (Atlanta, GA) lead the Maroon Tigers with 17 points on 7-10 shooting from the field to go along with five assists and two steals. Senior guard Robert Andrews (Detroit, MI) was lights out from three-point range, scoring 13 points on 3-4 shooting from deep while also cleaning up the glass with seven rebounds. Sophomore guard Jordan Sterling (Lithonia, GA) scored efficiently, scoring 12 points on 5-6 shooting from the field.

Scouting ASU: The Golden Rams advance to the SIAC Semi-finals after beating Benedict College 67-62 in the SIAC Quarterfinals. ASU was led by senior guard Mario Young (Mansfield, OH) who scored 21 points on 7-14 shooting from the field. Senior forward Randy McClure (Paulding, Georgia) nearly had a double-double, scoring 15 points on 5-10 shooting from the field to go along with seven rebounds and one steal. Senior Kamil Brown (Elizabeth, NJ) contributed with 11 points and eight rebounds.

Split Through Two: The Maroon Tigers and Albany State have split their two meetings against each other. Morehouse lost the first match in January 80-72 and won the second match in February 59-50.

A Championship Chance: With a win against ASU, the Maroon Tigers will advance to the SIAC Championship game for the first time since 2013. The Maroon Tigers played Benedict College that year and lost 68-60.

Up Next: With a win tonight, the Maroon Tigers will take on the winner of 1W seeded Miles College and 2E seeded Clark Atlanta University in the SIAC Championship game on March 7. Tip-off is set for 7:00.
