With a win against Paine College on Thursday, March 5, the Maroon Tigers can beat Paine College for the first time this season.

Scouting MHC: The Maroon Tigers look to win their second game of the tournament after a win against Lane College that saw senior guard/forward Tremell Gooden (Atlanta, GA) score 17 points on 6-12 shooting from the field to go along with seven rebounds and four steals. Sophomore center Olisa Akonobi (Abuja, Nigeria) hustled on both ends of the floor, scoring 14 points to go along with eight rebounds and five blocks. Senior guard Michael Olmert (Atlanta, GA) was efficient, scoring 12 points on 5-10 shooting from the field while also tallying six assists, six rebounds and two steals.

Scouting PC: The 7E seeded Lions got an upset victory over the 2W seeded Tuskegee University 78-73 on Tuesday. Freshman guard Bryce Latimer (Atlanta, GA) impressed on both ends of the floor, showing his offensive skill with 15 points and quick hands with four steals. Senior forward/center Deshawndric Nelms (Davenport, FL) contributed with 14 points and seven rebounds.

Face the Paine: Thursday will be the third time that the Maroon Tigers have played the Lions this season. Morehouse lost in January to the Lions 66-61 and lost a close 75-74 game to them in February at Forbes. The Maroon Tigers will have to beat Paine this season if they want to advance to the semi-finals.

Send Paine Home: The Maroon Tigers have a chance to not only break this season's two-game losing streak to Paine, but they can also get revenge on the Lions for last season. Paine upset the 20-5 Maroon Tigers last season with a 53-49 loss in the first round of the tournament. With a loss on Thursday, the Maroon Tigers will have been upset by Paine for the second straight season in the tournament.

Up Next: With a win tonight Morehouse will take on 1E Albany State University in the semi-finals on Friday, March 6. Tip-Off is set for 7:45 p.m.
