Robert Andrews (Detroit, MI) lead the Maroon Tigers in scoring, posting a double-double with 21 points on 7-13 from the field and 10 rebounds. Redshirt sophomore guard
Chris Brown (Atlanta, GA) stuffed the stat sheet with 11 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals. Senior forward/center
Kairo Whitfield (Atlanta, GA) nearly had a double-double, scoring eight points on 3-6 shooting from the field to go along with nine rebounds.
Scouting ASU: Albany State currently sits in first place in the SIAC Eastern division with an 5-2 record and 8-8 overall. On Monday, the Golden Rams beat Miles College 64-62 in Fairfield Alabama. Senior guard Mario Young (Mansfield, OH) scored 16 points and hit the game-winning shot. Senior guard Kamil Brown (Elizabeth, NJ) contributed on offense and defense, scoring 16 points and snagging a team high four steals. Redshirt sophomore guard Titus Burns (Havana, FL) also contributed on both ends of the floor with 10 points, three rebounds, one block and one steal.
No Losses in Last Eight: The Maroon Tigers have defeated the Golden Rams eight straight times. These two teams played each other twice last season, with Morehouse beating ASU 66-58 and 74-71.
For the Division Lead: With a win the Maroon Tigers will create a three-way tie with Albany State and Clark Atlanta for the division lead.
