Xavier Brewer (Atlanta, GA) had 12 points and four rebounds, shooting 4-7 from the field. Freshman forward
Kevin Powell (Newnan,GA) scored 12 points and three rebounds while shooting 4-4 from the field. Redshirt sophomore guard
Chris Brown (Atlanta, GA) also chipped in with 12 points and three rebounds. Sophomore guard
Malik Kennedy (Toronto Ontario, CAN) continued his scoring streak with 12 points and two rebounds.
Scouting TU: The Golden Tigers started the season off 2-3, improving their record with Wednesday's 75-68 win against the University of Montevallo. Senior guard James Eads (Orlando, Florida) had a game-high 25 points, shooting 9-18 from the field and 3-7 from three-point range. Junior guard Deshawn Millington (Carlisle, Pa.) scored 20 points while securing six rebounds. Senior forward Myles Thomas (Bainbridge, Georgia) contributed with 14 points, grabbed six rebounds, while also making the two three-point shots that he took in the game.
Seven-game Streak: The Maroon Tigers have not lost to the Golden Tigers since the 2013-2014 season's away 77-66 loss. Since then, Morehouse has beaten TU seven straight times, with the team's last win occurring on November 24
th, 2018. The Maroon Tigers soundly beat the Golden Tigers 73-58.
Close Loses: In their last two games, the Maroon Tigers have lost by an average of four points per game. There is no reason for panic, as all three of the Maroon Tigers loses this season have been very close. A play here or there could separate the Morehouse from their opponents.
