When the game was on the line, Morehouse's two All-SIAC players – Andrae Nelson and Darrius Williams – stepped up, to lead the Maroon Tigers to a 63-58 win over the Tuskegee Golden Tigers.
Morehouse advances to the championship game and will face Benedict, which beat Paine.
Morehouse and Benedict split in the regular season, with Morehouse winning, 68-65, in Forbes Arena, and Benedict winning 77-70, in Columbia, SC.
For the second straight game, Morehouse had to rally late, after trailing by five points at halftime and by seven, midway through the second.
Nelson and Williams posted double-doubles.
Williams, who scored seven of the team's last nine points, poured in a game-high 21 points and tied for a game high 10 rebounds.
Nelson scored 16 of his 20 points in the second hald and hauled down 10 rebounds. His put-back after a Williams' missed layup gave Morehouse a lead it wouldn't relinquish.
Calvin Thomas, with 20 points, and Shaquille Cook, with 13 points, led the way for Tuskegee.
The Championship game will be televised on Comcast Sports South (CSS), at 8:30 p.m.
