February 16, 2011 – FRANKFORT, KY – Morehouse fell to the Kentucky State Thorobreds, 82-75, in a game rescheduled from January 10, because of the snowstorm that paralyzed the Southeast.
The Tigers led at halftime 38-34, but the Thorobreds pulled away by a nose late in the second half, mostly on the strength of outstanding free-throw shooting. The Thorobreds hit 24-of-27 shots from the charity stripe, for a season-high 89 percent.
Once again,
Daniyal Faquir led the Tigers in scoring, with 17 points, on 5-of-9 shooting from the three-point line.
Mario Farris and Roderick Williams scored 10 points apiece. Williams pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.
Four Thorobreds scored in double-figures and KSU improved to 13-8 (12-7 SIAC). Morehouse fell to 9-12 (9-10 SIAC).
Morehouse will play the LeMoyne Owen Magicians, Thursday, at 7 p.m., in Memphis.
