ATLANTA, GA | Morehouse College head football coach Brad Sherrod and the Maroon Tigers football staff will host the Brad Sherrod Football Camps this summer, offering high school and eligible college prospects an opportunity to receive position-specific instruction, compete in live drills, and sharpen their skills in a college football environment.
The Brad Sherrod Football Camps are designed to bring together passion, precision, and player development. Led by Sherrod and the Morehouse coaching staff, the camps will focus on fundamentals, skill development, and game mastery for offensive and defensive players. From footwork and agility to individual technique and competitive drills, campers will receive hands-on instruction intended to help them elevate their game and prepare for the next level.
Sherrod enters his first season leading the Morehouse football program after being named head coach of the Maroon Tigers in February. A veteran coach with more than 30 years of experience across the FBS, FCS, and NAIA levels, Sherrod brings a proven record of championship leadership and program development to Atlanta. He most recently served as head coach at Texas Wesleyan University, where he guided the Rams to a 17-6 record over two seasons, including a 10-1 campaign in 2024, a perfect 8-0 conference mark, the program's first Sooner Athletic Conference championship, and back-to-back NAIA playoff appearances.
Before Texas Wesleyan, Sherrod spent three seasons at UTSA, helping the Roadrunners capture back-to-back conference championships, earn national Top 25 rankings, and make three consecutive bowl appearances. His coaching résumé also includes stops at Wake Forest, Sam Houston State, Delaware, Elon, Tennessee State, Western Carolina, East Tennessee State, and UMass. A former team captain at Duke University, Sherrod earned second-team All-ACC and Academic All-ACC honors during his playing career.
The one-day prospect camps are open to high school prospects entering grades 9-12 for Fall 2026 and eligible junior college prospects. Student-athletes from other four-year institutions are also eligible to attend but must be in the NCAA Transfer Portal to participate. Current Morehouse student-athletes may not participate as campers in Brad Sherrod camps or clinics.
Campers will take part in an on-the-field practice session that includes agility work, individual drills with Morehouse coaches, and competitive drills against other campers. Some contact will occur during camp activities. Helmets are not required.
The camp schedule includes Prospect Camp I on Friday, June 12, Prospect Camp II on Thursday, June 18, and Prospect Camp III on Saturday, July 18. Camp sessions will take place outdoors on the Morehouse Football Practice Fields, with the June 12 session scheduled for Burwell Towns "B.T." Harvey Stadium in Atlanta.
Prospects are strongly encouraged to pre-register online prior to camp arrival. Walk-up availability cannot be guaranteed on the day of camp due to planning, preparation, and available resources.
