ATLANTA, GA | Brogan Korta, a senior at Morehouse College, is widely recognized for his academic excellence, athletic achievements, and leadership. Originally from East Point, Georgia, Korta transferred to Morehouse as a sophomore and quickly made his mark, becoming a starting wide receiver for three consecutive years and earning the honor of team captain in his senior season.
In addition to his success on the football field, Korta has excelled as a dual-sport athlete in track and field, where he is an all-conference hurdler and pole vaulter. Most recently, he delivered a standout performance at the 2025 track championship in Louisville, Kentucky. Korta set personal records in both of his events, finishing 6th in the 60m hurdles (8.66 seconds) and securing a bronze medal in the pole vault with a mark of 3.80 meters, contributing to Morehouse's overall team success.
Academically, Korta has twice been awarded Morehouse's prestigious Highest Ranking Scholar Award and is a respected campus leader as president of Morehouse's National Association of Black Accountants. In this role, he has mentored fellow students and organized key professional development opportunities, strengthening the pipeline of Black talent entering the accounting and finance industries. Upon graduation, Korta will begin his career in Private Audit at PwC while working toward CPA certification.
Dedicated to service, Korta remains deeply involved in both the East Point and Atlanta communities. His commitment was further recognized when he was named one of the 2025 "Peach of an Athlete" Role Models, an honor bestowed by the Atlanta Area Council, Scouting America. Nominated by Morehouse College, Korta was celebrated for his outstanding athletic achievements, academic record, and positive influence both on and off the field. He was formally honored at the annual Peach of an Athlete Role Model Banquet held at Truist Park.
Korta's legacy at Morehouse is defined by his relentless pursuit of excellence and his passion for uplifting others, making him a standout example of what it means to be a scholar-athlete and leader.
