Atlanta, GA | The SIAC office announced that Caleb Grant (SR, Parkview HS, Stone Mountain, GA) was selected as the defensive player of the week for his performance in the HBCUNY Classic against Howard.  Grant, against the FCS opponent, led the Maroon Tigers with 12 tackles (seven solo) on the day, before a crowd of over 31,000 at Met Life Stadium, in East Rutherford, NJ.

Grant currently leads the SIAC in tackles (30) and is tied with Morehouse teammates Sean Johnson and Stephen Rowser for the conference lead in sacks (3).  

Grant, and the rest of the Maroon Tigers, travel to Chicago, on Saturday, to take on the Kentucky State Thorobreds in the 26th Annual Chicago Football Classic. Kickoff from Soldier Field is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET.
