Box Score February 11, 2017 -- COLUMBIA, SC -- Ayinde Russell poured in a game-high 27 points, on 10 of 19 shooting, and three other Maroon Tigers posted double figures, but it wasn't enough to fend off Benedict, in an 80-77 loss.  

Martravious Little and Tyrius Walker each had 14 points and Jordan Wallace chipped in 10 points, in the see-saw game that had 11 ties and seven lead changes. 

Though close from start to finish, this game was nothing like the epic, quadruple overtime game at Forbes Arena, February 2. Benedict won that game, 120-117.  

The Maroon Tigers (12-6; 6-7 SIAC) will host the Clark Atlanta Panthers (14-10; 8-4 SIAC), Monday, at 7 pm, in what is traditionally the biggest game of the year. CAU won round one of the cross-campus rivalry,71-66, on January 30. The Panthers are coming off of a 85-79 overtime loss to Fort Valley, Thursday.
