Maroon Tigers Mauled by Blue Bears

In a sloppy game that featured 40 turnovers, the Maroon Tigers came out on the short end, losing,  70-58, to the Livingstone College Blue Bears.

Each team committed 20 turnovers, but Livingstone outrebounded Morehouse 44-33, to move to 6-1.

It was the second straight loss to a CIAA opponent and Morehouse dropped to 1-5 on the season.

Darrius Williams hit 11-of-17 shots and three free throws for a game-high 25 points, to go with six rebounds. He added five steals and two assists.  

Shawn Allen chipped in 10 points, a game-high 11 rebounds, four assists and two steals.

Austin Anderson added 11 points and Andrae Nelson scored four points and pulled down eight rebounds.

Three Blue Bears scored in double figures, led my Mark Thomas, with 17 points and six rebounds.    

Morehouse returns to home action, Monday, at 7:30 p.m. against Concordia College - Selma.
