Prepped at Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School in Plymouth Meeting, PA, where Spruill competed in football, track, soccer, and basketball. Spruill was also involved in Black Student Union; International Baccalaureate; New Student Orientation Leader; School Musical; Orchestra. Spruill earned 6x All-League; 2x All-Area; US Marine Corps Athlete of the Year; Graduated Summa Cum Laude. Spruill graduated in 2023.

Personal:

Spruill is from Conshohocken, PA, and is majoring in Applied Physics (Dual-Degree Engineering-DDEP). Spruill competes in football. On the field, Spruill plays punter and kicker. Spruill's nickname is "Vay." Spruill chose Morehouse because he is a legacy student who has always felt his own affinity toward the school. The academic prestige and culture of greatness were alluring. After Morehouse, Spruill plans to better understand privileged and overlooked communities around the country and maybe the world by furthering sustainability techniques and practices in construction and other engineering disciplines. Spruill enjoys music, fishing, and fixing and tinkering with things. Spruill's favorite professional sports teams include Eagles, 76ers, and Falcons. Spruill lists LeBron James among favorite sports figures and influences. Spruill lists double-overtime win over Upper Dublin in the conference semifinals during his junior year of high school as a greatest sports moment.
