The academic success came alongside one of the greatest competitive years in modern Morehouse athletics history

The Maroon Tigers captured four SIAC championships during the 2025–26 campaign, beginning in the fall with another conference title in cross country. Morehouse then dominated the winter season, winning the SIAC Indoor Track & Field Championship for the second consecutive year before men's basketball captured both the SIAC East Division title and the SIAC Tournament championship for the first time since 2003.

The basketball program, under first-year head coach Larry Dixon, finished 22–10 overall and advanced to the NCAA Division II South Regional, marking the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2018. The Maroon Tigers also recorded a 10-game winning streak during the season and delivered the program's first conference tournament title in more than two decades.

Track & field completed another historic campaign in the spring, winning the SIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championship to secure the conference "triple crown" for Morehouse after also winning the cross country and indoor championships during the same academic year. Legendary head coach Willie Hill continued to add to one of the greatest coaching legacies in HBCU athletics with additional SIAC titles during the season.

Morehouse baseball also delivered one of the top seasons in program history, recording one of only a handful of 20-win seasons since 1970 while advancing to the deepest round of the SIAC Baseball Tournament for the program since 1994. The Maroon Tigers also earned national recognition after breaking into the Black College Nines Top 10 rankings for the first time.

In men's golf, Morehouse continued to elevate its national profile by finishing as the top HBCU Division II program at the PGA Works Collegiate Championship while competing successfully throughout the season against some of the top programs in the country.

On the football field, the Maroon Tigers showed major progress during the 2025 season, recording the program's highest win total since 2021 while securing a Homecoming victory, a win over rival Tuskegee University, and the program's first three-game winning streak since 2021.
