But Howard seized control in the fourth quarter, erupting for 21 unanswered points to pull away. Howard's timely field goal at the end of the third quarter and three fourth-quarter touchdowns pulled the Bison clear.

Offensively, Morehouse managed just 182 yards on 61 plays (3.0 yards per play) and produced only one red-zone touchdown on two trips. The Tigers coughed up three fumbles (losing one) and threw an interception, while surrendering four sacks that cost 36 yards. Their 3-of-15 performance on third downs and 1-of-2 on fourth downs stalled drives, and time-of-possession skewed in Howard's favor (31:55 to 28:05).
