EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ | Morehouse opened the HBCU NY Classic at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford with a 16,248-strong crowd on hand, but the Maroon Tigers could not contain Howard's balanced attack and dropped the game, 38–10.

Highlights

Morehouse struck first with a 43-yard field goal by Davis Rowe, yet Howard seized control soon after on a quick touchdown pass and never looked back. A sizzling 52-yard connection from Tyriq Starks to Zaden Jackson put Howard ahead 14–3 at halftime. Morehouse trimmed the deficit to 14–10 on a third-quarter after a 24-yard touchdown strike from Miles Scott to Eric Stephens midway through the third. The Maroon Tigers hung tough through three quarters, trailing just 17–10. But Howard seized control in the fourth quarter, erupting for 21 unanswered points to pull away. Howard's timely field goal at the end of the third quarter and three fourth-quarter touchdowns pulled the Bison clear.

With The Loss

Offensively, Morehouse managed just 182 yards on 61 plays (3.0 yards per play) and produced only one red-zone touchdown on two trips. The Tigers coughed up three fumbles (losing one) and threw an interception, while surrendering four sacks that cost 36 yards. Their 3-of-15 performance on third downs and 1-of-2 on fourth downs stalled drives, and time-of-possession skewed in Howard's favor (31:55 to 28:05).
