ATLANTA, GA | The Morehouse Maroon Tigers battled hard but fell in straight sets (17-25, 16-25, 13-25) to the Fort Valley State Wildcats on Monday night at Forbes Arena. Despite a strong start, Morehouse struggled to contain Fort Valley State's offensive efficiency and service game.
Set 1: FORT VALLEY 25, MOREHOUSE 17
Morehouse started with strong energy, keeping pace early in the opening set. The Tigers capitalized on a few Wildcats errors and found offensive production through Daniel Allen and Charles Parrish Jr. An early service ace by Aidan Pullian put Morehouse up 6-4. However, Fort Valley State responded with a 6-1 run. Morehouse tried to rally, but errors allowed the Wildcats to pull away, taking the set 25-17.
Set 2: FORT VALLEY 25, MOREHOUSE 16
In the second frame, Morehouse kept things close early, but Fort Valley State's aggressive serving put pressure on the Maroon Tigers' defense. Morehouse saw contributions from Parrish Jr., who notched multiple kills, and setter Jamar Shackleford Jr., who distributed 18 assists in the match. Still, the Wildcats' offensive rhythm, helped them stretch their lead. A late Morehouse push fell short, and Fort Valley State secured the set 25-16.

The final set saw Morehouse struggle to find its footing, managing just three kills in the frame. The Tigers fought to stay competitive, but service errors proved costly. Fort Valley State closed out the match with a 25-13 set victory.
