Atlanta, GA- The Maroon Tigers finished off the rival weekend series with a nail biting win against the Panthers, 7-6.
The teams would kick off the game by both scoring in the 1
st inning, Clark Atlanta would get two runs and Morehouse would get one run. Morehouse would score again in the 2
nd inning but would have a hard time scoring for the next two innings. The Panthers would keep their scoring going until the 4
th inning and would not score again until the 8
th inning. The Maroon Tigers would score in the 5
th inning, 7
th inning. The 7
th inning, the teams were tied 6-6 but in the 9
th inning with a sacrifice fly by Lee Hodges would allow
James Thorpe to score the winning point.
Cedric Holt would have 3 RBI's. Asa Waites and Dorian Andres would have 1 RBI.
David Coleman finished with 2 RBI's. TJ Whiteman,
Jaiden Proper, and Lee Hodges would all finish with 1 RBI.
The Maroon Tigers are on the road as they get ready to travel to Columbia, SC on April 1
st to take on Benedict College. The weekend series kicks off with a double header, first pitch at 12pm and second pitch at 3pm.
