The Maroon Tigers Open Season With A Loss Against Shorter

Rome, GA- The Maroon Tigers kicked off their 2023 season with a loss against Shorter University, 0-10.

The Maroon Tigers would struggle to score all nine innings against Shorter. Shorter would score one run during the 1st inning, five in the 2nd inning, three in the 4th inning, and would go three whole innings without scoring until the 8th inning when they would get one run.

Shorter University would have seven athletes hit multiple RBI's.

The Maroon Tigers are back in action this weekend as they get ready to take on rival Clark Atlanta, Saturday, Feb 4th, first pitch is at 2pm.
