The Maroon Tigers Continue Their Winning Streak In Double OT Against Fort Valley

Atlanta, GA- The Maroon Tigers keep their winning streak going as they beat Fort Valley in an incredible double OT, 66-64.

The first half of the game started out at slower pace as both teams would go back and forth with scoring until the last 3 minutes of the game when Morehouse would go the whole time without scoring until the .39 seconds when Kerry Richardson would score heading the half, 27-21.

The Wildcats would keep their lead over the Maroon Tigers for the majority of the second half until Morehouse started making an incredible come back with back-to-back scoring and at 13:00 minutes they would tie the game up. After the Maroon Tigers tied the score it was battle of the cats to see who would go home with the win. Morehouse would end up taking a four point lead over the Wildcats for a small frame but with 1:56 left in the game they would tie the score again, 46-46, ending the second half.

We would then go into an nail biting OT and double OT as back schools fought until the very end. They would finish the first OT tied again 58-58. Morehouse would start the double OT with a lay up from Chukwuebuka Nwafor giving them a two point advantage and a foul by Jamal Reynolds would send Christian Lamar to the line. After the foul, Fort Valley would respond with a shot of their own but Kerry Richardson would quickly answer with a three-pointer. They would keep a secure small lead of the Wildcats and finished with the win.

For the Wildcats, KJ Doucet would lead his team with 24 points.

Kerry Richardson has been on a roll leading his lead to victory tonight he would finish with 22 points. Ibn Williams would be right behind with 19 points.

The Maroon Tigers are on the road as the travel to Edward Waters on Saturday, Feb 4th, tip off at 3pm.
