2022 SIAC Football Media Day Preseason Honors

ATLANTA, GA. - This year's Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) preseason football team features 29 returning players from the 2021 SIAC Football All-Conference team, including Morehouse defensive lineman Elijah Campbell, and defensive end Tyler Hunter, announced Wednesday during the league's media day presented by Cricket Wireless in Atlanta, Ga.
 
The Maroon Tigers were picked to finish fourth in the SIAC East Division, which is a small drop after finishing third in last year's final standings.
 
Campbell completed last season with 30 Tackles; 5.5 Tackles for Loss; 4.0 Sacks. Hunter also finished with 48 Tackles; 11 TFLs; 7 Sacks; 2 FF; 1FR.
 
The 2022 SIAC Championship game is scheduled for November 12 and will be hosted by the Eastern Division champion.
 
Albany State quarterback Dionte Bonneau was selected as this year's Preseason Offensive Player of the Year alongside Andrew Farmer, Lane College, who was tabbed as the 2022 Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.

The SIAC is an NCAA athletic conference consisting primarily of historically black colleges and universities with headquarters in downtown Atlanta, Georgia.
