JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Maroon Tigers closed out their inaugural volleyball season with a loss to Edwards Waters University in straight sets: 16-25, 12-25, 11-25. The volleyball team finished the regular season with no wins and 17 losses.

After dropping the first set, Morhouse tied the second set early on freshman Bryce Clemons' kill, 4-4. The Edward Waters Tigers surged ahead with a mid-set 7-1 run, giving them an 11-5 advantage. The Tigers further put the set out of reach when they scored nine unanswered points for a 20-7 lead. Edward Waters closed out the set on junior Victor Perez's kill, 25-12.

Morehouse couldn't find their offense in the final set. The Maroon Tigers finished the set with 11 points, but they all came by way of Edward Waters errors. The Tigers established an early 8-3 lead on a bad set by Jalen Campbell. A service error by Edward Waters gave Morehouse its eighth point of the match, before the Tigers went on an 8-2 run for a 23-10 lead. Two consecutive Morehouse errors late in the match closed the set, 11-25.

Freshman Kristopher Woods led the Maroon Tigers with three kills. Campbell paced Morehouse with four assists.
