Atlanta, GA- Morehouse Maroon Tigers defeated the Savannah State Tigers 72-61. The Maroon Tigers got out to an early 11-2 lead against Savannah State and never looked back, finishing the half up 38-19. The Maroon Tigers looked nothing short of a team on their way to their 10th win in the first half scoring from all angles in an efficient first half with 45.5% three-point shooting and dominating in the paint with 10 points to Savannah State's two.
Savannah State would respond in the second half cutting the lead to five with four minutes remaining in the second half. However, the Maroon Tigers, who went cold from three to zero for eight in the second half, made 20 free throws in the second half to decide their win. Savannah States Darly and Avery Joyner would lead their team with 10 points each in their comeback against the Maroon Tigers.

Noah Morgan would lead all scorers with 17 points, two assists and one steal.
The Maroon Tigers next game is on the road against their AUC Rival Clark Atlanta University on February 10, tip-off is still being determined.
