Atlanta, GA- Morehouse College defeats Fort Valley University 78-70. Fort Valley came in the game unafraid, taking on the number one team in the SIAC conference as they trailed only by one in the first half. They traded three-pointers back and forth, accounting for 16 threes made in just the first half.
 
Morehouse guard Billy Thomas went en Fuego in the first half, hitting five threes from the arc with 15 points in the half. Fort Valley's Pierre Mitchell had 13 points in the first half for his squad. However, the Maroon Tigers controlled the second half maintaining a comfortable nine-point lead.
 
Billy Thomas would continue his offensive effort leading all scorers with 24 points, one assist, and two steals on the evening. Fort Valley's KJ Doucet would lead his team with 19 points, two assists, and two steals on the night.
 
Morehouse's next game is on the road as they take on Allen University, Thursday Feb 17, tip-off at 7:30pm.
