Atlanta, GA- Morehouse men's basketball team suffered their first home game loss of the season this afternoon as they fell short against Miles College 76-71.
The game quickly jumped into Morehouse getting the first three points of the game. Morehouse kept the lead until 13:52 hit the clock and Miles took a small lead. At 12:56 the game was tied up at 11-11, it was a battle between who was going to keep the lead which was back and forth until 3:26 was left in the game and
Jordan Sterling hit a three letting Morehouse take the lead, ending the first half by a one-point lead, 38-37.
The second half started with Morehouse taking the lead again as Sterling started the game with a three pointer along with
Andrew Stewart adding a three pointer as well giving the Maroon Tigers a small five-point lead until 13:11 when Miles finally caught up and took the lead again. Miles had the lead until 11:37 when
Elijah Stewart hit a three pointer with the assist from his brother
Andrew Stewart that led to Morehouse getting ahead. The rest of the second half was a back-and-forth game on who was going to win the game but at the last 10 seconds of the game
Kerry Richardson fouled letting Miles take the win.
Jordan Sterling was the top scorer having 14 points.
Andrew Stewart added 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 7 assists.
Xavier Brewer had a solid 11 points.
Morehouse will play again at home on Monday, November 29, against Lemoyne-Owen College. Tip-off will be at 7pm.
