Columbus, GA- Morehouse Men's Basketball had their first game of the season against Columbus State. All though Morehouse played their best against the Cougars they crumbled in the second half final score being 77-66.
The Maroon Tigers started out the first half with a rocky start but soon caught up with the Cougars ending the first half with an 8 point difference. After the second half started the men's basketball team had a difficult time connecting their shots as they had a shooting percentage of 36.6%. Within the last 2 minutes of the game Morehouse was able to catch up with a 12 point difference but Columbus States Langston Gaither was dropping 3 pointers and eventually took the lead again.
White led the Maroon Tigers with 17 points on the strength of 3-8 three point shooting. Richardson added 7 points and 7 rebounds.
Morehouse's next game is a road contest at Young Harris on Nov. 17 at 7:30pm.
