Morehouse Falls Against Georgia Tech

Atlanta, GA- Morehouse Men's basketball team traveled across town to take on Georgia Tech in their first exhibition match Sunday afternoon. The Maroon Tigers fell to the Yellow Jackets, 89-52.

Georgia Tech started the game with a 25-point lead in the game's first 10 minutes and never looked back. Morehouse had a difficult time making their free throw shots only making 17 of 29 shots. Tavares Oliver paced the Maroon Tigers with 16 points followed by Xavier Brewer with 8 points.

Head Coach Douglas Whittler on the game: "Today's game was a good test for us especially after having an entire season off. Georgia Tech is a very well coached team. We are looking forward to growing from today's game and building on the positives that we saw."
The Maroon Tigers next game is a road contest at University of Georgia on Nov. 5 at 7pm.
