ALBANY, Ga. - The eighth seeded Morehouse College baseball team dropped the opening game of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Tournament on Thursday evening to the top-seeded Golden Rams of Albany State University by a score of 18-2.
Turning Point
After taking an early 1-0 lead after the first inning, ASU exploded for six runs in the second frame to take an early 7-0 lead. Albany State would cruise the rest of the way scoring runs in every inning for the 18-2 run rule shortened victory.
Individual Leaders
MHC - Derrick Odom (Albany, GA) was 1-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI while
Daniel Mumphery (Richmond, VA) was 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Amyr Smith (Atlanta, GA) was 1-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base while
Ryan Williams (Indianapolis, IN) and
Jordan Davis (Conyers, GA) each had a hit.
ASU - Chasen Roulhac was 4-for-6 with three runs scored and four RBI to lead Albany State. Three other hitters had two hits a piece.
