ALBANY, Ga. - Morehouse College's Demetrius Burton (Woodstock, GA) had a strong outing and Kris Skinner (Hephzibah, GA) came to shut the door as the Maroon Tigers eliminated AUC rival Clark Atlanta from the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Baseball Tournament on Friday afternoon by a score of 5-3.

Turning Point
The Maroon Tigers took an early 3-0 lead in the top of the 3rd inning and never looked back when Werten Bellamy (Philadelphia, PA) doubled down the left field line leading off the inning and with two outs Amyr Smith (Atlanda, GA)  walked stole second and both runners scored on a two RBI double by Kaelan Ashford-Jones (Oakland, CA). Ashford-Jones would score the third run of the inning on an RBI single by Burton.

Individual Leaders
MHC - Jalyn Hawkins (Atlanta, GA) and Bellamy each went 2-for-4 for Morehouse while Ashford-Jone was 1-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored. Burton pitched 8.1 innings in the win while walking one and striking our four. Skinner picked up his first save of the year.

CAU - Jason Howell, Jordan Johnson and Anthony Nettles each had two hits for the Panthers.
