#17 Morehouse Ends Road Swing With Win At Fort Valley State, 63-50

FORT VALLEY, Ga. - The #17 ranked Morehouse College basketball team won their final road game of the season with a 63-50 win over Fort Valley State University on Monday evening at the HPE Arena in Fort Valley, Georgia.

The Maroon Tigers led from the opening tip and got a boost from sophomore transfer Chibueze Ebinum (Lanham, MD) who scored 11 first-half points helping MHC to a 29-21 halftime lead.

Morehouse saw their lead dwindle in the second-half but eventually recovered and held on for the 13 point victory.

Turning Point
After the Wildcats tied the score at 40-40 on a three pointer by Shawn Foxbrennen with 11:32 remaining in the contest, the Maroon Tigers went on a 23-10 run to end the game and cruise to the 63-50 victory.

Individual Leaders
Ebinum led MHC with 14 points and three rebounds while senior forward Omar Alston (Waldorf, MD) had 12 points and a game-high eight rebounds. Junior transfer Robert Andrews (Detroit, MI) came off the bench to score 11 points while hauling down seven rebounds.

K'Viontae Williams had a game-high 19 points while Foxbrennen finished with 16 points for the Wildcats.
