ATLANTA, Ga. - The #25 ranked Morehouse College basketball team beat Fisk University, 73-61 in there season opener on Tuesday evening in Forbes Arena. The victory was also head coach Grady Brewer's 300th win of his career, which spans 20 years leading the program.

The Maroon Tigers start the season 1-0 while the Bulldogs fall to 2-4 on the season.

Turning Point
Down 33-32 with 18:03 remaining in the game the Maroon Tigers went on a 6-2 run to take the lead, and eventually grew the lead to 15 points when they led 66-51 with 5:56 remaining.

Individual Leaders
Michael Olmert (Atlanta, GA) was three assist shy of a triple-double as he finished with 11 points, 10 rebounds and seven assist. Sophomore Xavier Brewer (Atlanta, GA) finished with s team-high 15 points and eight rebounds while Malik Kennedy (Toronto Ontario, CAN) had 14 points and freshman Demarcus Johnson (East Point, GA) finished with 10 points.

Addison Miller had a game-high 16 points for Fisk.
