Maroon Tigers Win Third in Row at Paine

Box Score April 8, 2018 -- AUGUSTA, GA -- The Maroon Tigers exploded for six runs in the seventh inning and beat the Paine College Lions, 6-1, for the third straight road win over the SIAC East Division rival. 

But the bigger story was the pitching show put on by Kristopher Skinner, who grew up 20 miles from the Paine campus. Skinner achieved  a rare feat, getting two wins, in the weekend sweep.

Bubba, as he is called, went four innings in relief of Demetrius Burton and was the pitcher of record when the Tigers plated six runs in today's seventh inning.

In Saturday's game one, Skinner also came on to relieve Burton. Skinner gave up three hits and two runs. But he was on the mound, when Morehouse put up four runs in the seventh, for a come-from-behind win.

Skinner relieved Daron Bowling, in Saturday's second game, but did not get the save, as was previously reported.
