Weekend's Baseball Games Cancelled

| By: Yusuf Davis
April 17, 2015 -- ATLANTA -- This weekend's baseball games between Morehouse and Stillman College, in Tuscaloosa, AL,  have been cancelled because of a soaked field and the forecast for more rain over the next few days.

Neither Saturday's doubleheader nor Sunday's single game will be rescheduled. Despite being conference games, the outcome would not affect the standing of either team in their chase for the post season tournament, to be held next weekend, in Columbia, SC.

Morehouse, at 12-19 (5-13 SIAC), finishes in fifth place in the SIAC East Division and failed to qualify for the tournament, which invites the top four teams in each Division.

Stillman, the three-time defending SIAC champion is the #2 team in the SIAC West Division, behind newcomer Spring Hill.
Stillman will be the #1 tournament seed, because Spring Hill is ineligible for post-season play until it completes its two-year transition from the NAIA to the NCAA.
