Box Score March 22, 2015 – ORANGEBURG, SC – Two Claflin pitchers combined for a no-hitter against the Maroon Tigers who fell 3-0.
In the rain-shortened game, which was scheduled for nine innings, Morehouse was held hitless for seven innings. No Maroon Tiger advanced past second base.
The only Maroon Tigers to reach base came via five walks issued by starter A. Perry, who went six full innings, before giving way to reliever E. Mitchell.
Pitcher Malik Zuberi went the distance for Morehouse, allowing eight hits and two earned runs. Zuberi, who fell to 0-2 on the season, struck out three and walked two.
Morehouse dropped to 8-14 (1-8 SIAC) and has lost seven straight games. The last win was a 6-4 decision over Paine, March 7.
The Maroon Tigers return to action, this weekend, when they host Clark Atlanta, for a doubleheader, Saturday, at 12 p.m., and a single game, Sunday, at 1 p.m.
