Morehouse Loses Twin-Bill to Voorhees

Box Score After splitting a pair of games against the Voorhees College Tigers, the Maroon Tigers ran out of energy and runs, Sunday, and lost both ends of a doubleheader, 5-0 and 5-4. 

In Game 1: 
The Maroon Tigers got four hits but could push no runs across the plate against Voorhees pitcher Brad Isaac who went the distance.

Morehouse pitcher Malik Zuberi got his first start of the season and suffered the loss. Zuberi, who went the distance, surrendered only three hit, but failed to get much offensive or defensive support. He walked four and struck out seven.   

Ryan Christian, Caleb Psycher, Mathew Reed and Elijah Sudduth got the hits for Morehouse. Christian, with a double, was the only Maroon Tiger with an extra-base hit. 

In Game 2: 
Morehouse generated more offense than in Game 1, but it wasn't enough to top Voorhees, which improved to 7-1. 

Zachary Lowe collected three hits, scored two runs and a drove in a run. Patrick Dickerson, Derrick Lewis Jared Maner got two hits apiece.

Cole Gibson started on the mound for Morehouse and went four and two-thirds innnings, before giving way to Daron Bowling, who pitched an inning and a third.
