Maroon Tigers Lose Doubleheader to Claflin Panthers

Box Score The Maroon Tigers lost both halves of a doubleheader to the Claflin University Panthers by identical scores of 11-6.

In Game One, the Morehouse scored all six of its runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, but it wasn't enough to overcome the 11-run deficit faced going into the final half of the game scheduled for seven innings.

Freshman catcher Zachary Lowe swung the big stick for Morehouse, going 4 of 4 and drving in three runs.

In Game Two, Zachary Lowe went 3 of 4 from the plate, drove in two runs and scored two runs. He collected a triple and his second double in two games.

Pitcher Andre Southern went the distance, giving up seven  earned runs on 11 hits.    

The Maroon Tigers will take on the Panthers again tomorrow, in a single nine-inning game, which will start at 12 p.m.
