Before Morehouse:
Prepped at Woodward Academy in Atlanta, GA, where he competed in Football and Track. He was also involved in Kappa League, Jack and Jill of America, WA Grows, Black Student Union, Jack & Jill GMAC Beautillion Leadership Program. Hood earned Woodward Academy Silver Eagle (3.5 GPA), Ferguson Award. He graduated in 2024.

Personal:
He is from Atlanta, GA, and is majoring in Journalism in Sports, Culture, and Social Justice at Morehouse. He is a cornerback. His nickname is "J.Ellis." Hood chose Morehouse because of its academic excellence. he is grateful for the HBCU experience. he also chose Morehouse because it is very close to home, and he had a chance to play the game he loves the most. After Morehouse, he plans to be a Sports broadcaster for preferably football, but any sport will be ok with him. He enjoys Playing other sports, gaming, and hanging out with friends. His favorite shows include Power, BMF, and Snowfall. His favorite professional sports teams include Marlins, Braves, and Yankees, Hawks and Heat, and Cowboys and Falcons. He lists Sammy Watkins among his favorite sports figures and influences. He lists going to the State Championship in his senior year of High School as his greatest sports moment.
