Lorenzo Dantzler serves as Defensive Line Coach for Morehouse College, bringing a championship background and proven experience developing defensive talent at both the collegiate and junior college levels. Prior to joining the staff, Dantzler coached the defensive line at San Joaquin Delta College for two seasons, helping lead the program to its first bowl game appearance since 2010. During that time, Dantzler helped develop Jaiden Crawford and coached three All-Conference defensive linemen, including one unanimous selection and one honorable mention honoree.

Before entering coaching, Dantzler was one of the most accomplished defensive players in the history of University of Texas at San Antonio football. A four-year starter on the defensive line, Dantzler earned postseason All-Conference honors in all four seasons and was a member of the program’s first conference championship team.

Prior to UTSA, Dantzler played at East Mississippi Community College, where he helped the program capture both a state championship and a national championship. Dantzler originally signed with the University of Southern Mississippi out of high school before transferring to EMCC.

A native of Starkville, Dantzler was an All-State and All-Region defensive lineman in high school and finished as the runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year during his senior season. Dantzler also helped lead his high school program to state championships as both a freshman and again in 2015.
