Coach Stone comes to Morehouse with a wealth of experience coaching the defensive line.

In 2022 Stone was hired as the Defensive Coordinator/ Defensive Line Coach at Central State University. Stone was instrumental in the development of Mike White, which was a former RB, into a 2 x All SIAC DE. In 2024 season led D2 in Force Fumbles. In 2025 Stone defense was the only team in the SIAC that had 3 players (Mike White, Carlos Carter, and Chaz Hunter) ranked in the top 10 in sacks. The defense finished the 2024 season ranked 3rd nationally in D2 in tackle for losses. Jalil Lenore also was a 2 x All SIAC LB was a formalin a player in Coach Stone defense. Stone was also responsible for CSU being ranked #1 nationally for the 2025 season in FG block kicks in D2. Opponents had a 30% success rate of kicking a FG or extra point.

Stone was the defensive line coach for Tuskegee University from 2019 to 2021, Stone helped develop Fredrick Austin into one of the who finished the 2021 season ranked 6th in the SIAC in sacks. Stone spent the 2018 season as the Assistant Head Coach for the Redan High School in Stone Mountain, Georgia.

In 2012, Stone went on to coach professionally in the (CFL) Canadian Football League for the Toronto Argonauts. The Argonauts went on to win the 100th 2012 Grey Cup game. Defensive Lineman Ricky Foley was named the Most Valuable Canadian in the Grey Cup game. Under Coach Stone tutelage, defensive lineman Amond Armstead, became the youngest ever player to be selected to the CFL All Star team and East Division All Star team. Armstead went on to sign an NFL contract with the New England Patriots.

In 2010, Stone coached with Clark Atlanta University as the defensive line coach. In his first year, Stone helped coach a defense that ranked among the top defensive units in NCAA Div. II. The Panthers finished ranked No. 1 in pass defense, No. 2 in tackles for losses, No. 26 in sacks, and No. 11 in total defense. Stone coached two defensive linemen who played in the HBCU All-Star game - Malcolm Keys (2010) and Darel Strong (2011). Strong was also selected to the 2011 All-SIAC Defensive Team and NCAA Div. II 2011 Dan Hansen All-Region Team. Coach Stone was one of 30 coaches that was selected and invited to the annual NFL & NCAA Football Coaches Academy.

Stone began his coaching career in the Arena Football League. In 2009, Stone was the Associate Head Coach for Milwaukee Iron. He spent the 2007 and 2008 seasons as the Associate Head Coach/ Defensive Coordinator for the Rio Grande Valley Dorados. Stone’s defense set an AFL2 record for the most sacks in a game (13) and most sacks in a season (58) and recorded a dominant shutout against the Laredo Lobos (64-0) in 2007. Stone joined the Bakersfield Blitz in 2006, which finished with three defensive linemen who ranked in the top ten in sacks in the AFL 2 while leading the league's top ranked defense.

A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Stone earned his BA in Urban Studies from the University of Tennessee and MS in Cybersecurity Policy from Colorado Technical University. Stone and his wife Rochelle reside in the Metro Atlanta Area, with two daughters, Chelsea and Gabrielle Stone.
