MACON, GA | Morehouse College surged to a fourth straight SIAC men's cross country championship on Friday, stacking four runners in the top 10 and posting just 26 points at the Georgia Premier Cross Country Course. Senior Brian Kemei broke the tape in 25:51.31 and was named SIAC Runner of the Year for the third consecutive season, anchoring a dominant Maroon Tigers pack.
The victory marks the program's 28th SIAC men's cross country title under head coach Willie Hill—who was also voted SIAC Coach of the Year for the fourth straight season—continuing a dynasty that run for over four decades.
Race highlights
Morehouse's low stick depth sealed the meet early: along with Kemei's win, Victor Chebii (3rd), Dennis Kibet (4th) and Ronny Kiprono (7th) all finished All-SIAC to slam the door on the field. Tuskegee finished runner-up.
