ATLANTA, Ga. __ Morehouse baseball picked up two wins on Wednesday in a doubleheader sweep of Morris College.
Morehouse 12, Morris College 3 (7 Inn.)
Myles Tucker drove in four runs on one bases loaded homer to lead the Maroon Tigers past Morris College 12-3 in the first game on Wednesday. In the first, Tucker hit a grand slam to center field.
Morehouse scored nine total runs in the first on the way to victory. Robert Robinson and
James Thorpe both drew bases loaded walks, scoring two runs, followed by RBI singles form TJ Whiteman and
Alan Brown before the Tucker grand slam before the end of the inning.
Morris College got on the board in the top of the first inning after an RBI double, before another score on a double play to cut the lead to 9-2.
Morehouse added another run in the third on an RBI single from
Elijah Pinckney, before two final runs in the fourth and fifth for the 12-3 win.

Elijah James drove in four runs on his own grand slam in game two against Morris College, helping Morehouse take a 12-0 win to close the day.
The Maroon Tigers got on the board in the bottom of the first with an RBI single from Jaylen Green. Soon after with the bases loaded, James hit his homer to left, followed later by a solo home run from
James Thorpe.
Morehouse added to the lead in the second as Green singled and Robert Robinson both drove in runs, with Green's being a single and Robinson's being a sacrifice fly to center field. Four more runs were added in the third, on three hits and one error, putting the home team up 12-0.
Chase Lacorte earned the win for Morehouse, not allowing a hit or run in two innings, while
Jaiden Proper,
Casey Coates, and
Dominic Davis each threw shutout innings in the relief.
Greene led the Maroon Tigers with two hits at the plate in the contest, while six other batters earned at least one hit in the game. Green and Thorpe both scored two runs in the win.
