The Maroon Tigers Walk Away With A Loss And A Win Against Tuskegee

Tuskegee, AL- The Maroon Tigers traveled to Tuskegee University for a weekend series. The series kicked off on Saturday afternoon which the Maroon Tigers would walk away with the win, 6-3. On Sunday, March 5th, would kick off the double header against the Golden Tigers. The Golden Tigers would kick off the double header with the win, 8-7, and the next game the Maroon Tigers would take the win, 11-4.

Game 1:
The Maroon Tigers would kick off the game scoring the first run by Elijah James. The Golden Tigers would respond with a run of their own finishing the first inning, 1-1. The Maroon Tigers would score two runs in the second inning, one run all the way to the sixth inning and would have the lead over the Golden Tigers until a dropped pop fly by George Lester would let Tuskegee score four runs and walked away with the win, 8-7.

Alex Glass had 4 RBI's, Jeremy Hawkins had 2 RBI's, and Mark Hatch and Mason both had 1 RBI.

James Thorpe finished with 2 RBI's, and Elijah Pinckney and Jaylen Greene both had 1 RBI.

Game 2:
The Maroon Tiges would come back ready for game two and to walk away with the win, they would start the game off with the first run again. They would keep up their scoring all the way until the fifth inning when they would not score at all. The Golden Tigers would have a difficult start to game two as they would go three whole innings without scoring a single run. The fourth inning, the Golden Tigers would make a small comeback by scoring four runs by Barnes, Henderson, Mason, and Hawkins. The Maroon Tigers would respond with five runs in the sixth inning and would secure the win, 11-4.

Mark Hatch, Julian Grier, and Mason would have 1 RBI.

James Thorpe would accomplish 3 RBI's, Jaiden Proper and Jaeden Mitchell would have 2 RBI's, following behind them was Jalen Gibbs, and Darren Avent with 1 RBI.

The Maroon Tigers are on the road for their next game as they get ready to travel to Lane College for a weekend series. The first game takes place on March 10th at 2pm.
