Atlanta, GA- The Maroon Tigers just finished hosting their annual Morehouse Relays on March 23-25
th. The relays have not been hosted at Morehouse in nine years due to a multi-million-dollar renovation of the facility. There were over 800 participants which included 18 universities/colleges both men and women teams along with 12 middles school both boys' and girls' teams.
Morehouse's track & field team would finish the relays in 1
st place. Tennessee State would finish 2
nd place. The Maroon Tigers would also place in 23 categories where they finished in the top-5 finishes.
Congratulations to Brian Kemei who recently broke his 10k record at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational. Brian broke his 10k record with a time of 31:01. Brian previously held the record with a time of 31:29.
For Morehouse, Brian Kemei came in first place in the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:11.33 and would also come in first in the 10,000 meters with a time of 32:18.30
Morehouse had multiple athletes place in 23 categories for the outdoor season opener. The Maroon Tigers will be back in action this weekend, Apr 1
st, for the University of West Georgia Invitational.
