Jackson, TN- This past weekend the Maroon Tigers had a weekend series against Lane College. The Maroon Tigers would kick the series off with a loss against the Dragons, 7-5.

The Dragons would kick the game off by scoring the first run of the 1^st inning by Zach Baker. Morehouse would have a slower start to the game as they would go two whole innings without scoring, it would not be able until the 3^rd inning when they would score two runs by James Thorpe and Jaylen Greene. For the 4^th inning, Morehouse would go the whole 4^th inning without scoring but Lane would score one by Zion LaGrone making the score, 6-2.

For the 5^th and 6^th inning, Morehouse would score two more runs. In the 5^th inning, Jaylen Greene would get a home run. In the 6^th Inning, David Coleman II would get a home run as well. Lane would pick up one more run during the 5^th inning by Walton Thompson. For the rest of the game, both teams would go without scoring and Lane would walk away with the win.

Ethan Coleman and Zion LaGrone would finish with 2 RBI's. Dakotah Danner, Matt Kucera, and Nick Coello would have 1 RBI.

David Coleman II would carry his team with 3 RBI's, and Elijah Pinckney and Jaylen Greene would finish with 1 RBI.

The Maroon Tigers will continue their weekend series on Saturday, March 11^th, as they get ready to play in a doubleheader against the Dragons. First pitch is at 11am and the second game is at 2pm.
