Jacksonville, FL- The Maroon Tigers returned to Edward Waters and walked a away with the win again, 72-64, extending their winning steak to seven.
The Maroon Tigers would kick the game off with the first two points, but Edward Waters would quickly respond with a jumper of their own. Morehouse would take a seven point lead over the Tigers at the 16 minute mark, but the Tigers would knock that down to a five point lead. With the Tigers trying to break that lead down, Morehouse would stay a couple of points a head of them until the last 2 minutes of the game when the Tigers would make a comeback and taking the lead away from the Maroon Tigers. Edward Waters would shoot a jumper making the score, 30-27, but a last minute three by
Ibn Williams would tie the score and ended the first half tied, 30-30.
Edward Waters would come back from the half hungry for that win as they scored a lay-up within the first minute into the game. Edward Waters would take a nine point lead over the Maroon Tigers but the Maroon Tigers would quickly broke that all the way down to only a one point different, 49-48. Morehouse would wake back up and take over the game again and would have a 11 point advantage over the Tigers and that advantage would lead them to secure the win.
Larry Kuimi finished the game with double digits 23 points. Tavares Oliver followed behind him with 14 points.
Ibn Williams would finish with a career high of 22 points.
Kerry Richardson would be behind him with 16 points.
This weekend is the AUC Rival as Morehouse gets ready to take on Clark Atlanta, Saturday Feb 11, tip off at 1pm.
