Berry, GA- The Maroon Tigers CC team has kicked off their 2022 Cross Country season by participating in the Berry Watermelon Run hosted by Berry College.
Georgia Tech won the event, sweeping the top countable times among team scores to finish with 15 points. Berry was second with 65 points, topping Piedmont with 90, Marion Military Institute at 127, Morehouse College with 134 points, and Covenant with 136.
Morehouse had seven athletes that placed in the race. To lead the Maroon Tigers was Brain Kemei who finished in 11
th place with a time of 23:37.50 and Jordan Ellul came in 42
nd with a time of 29:21.39.
The Maroon Tigers will be back in action on Sept. 10 as they travel to University of North Georgia.
